Aline Playbooks track changes
Ask Aline AI to update a playbook, or hand it a redline from a deal you just closed, and it proposes changes as tracked changes. Each change comes with its reasoning, and nothing takes effect until you accept it.
Why it matters
  • Your playbook keeps up with what your team actually agrees to, instead of going stale after the first draft.
  • Lessons from tough negotiations get written down, so the next deal starts from a stronger position.
  • A lawyer reviews every change, so you keep control of your positions.
Aline AI Chat contract intelligence
The AI chat can now answer questions across your whole repository or a single report, such as "What governing law do most of our NDAs use?" You get a counted answer with links to the documents behind it.
Why it matters
  • Portfolio questions that used to take a week of reading take a minute. That helps with diligence requests, regulatory impact checks and board reporting.
  • If some contracts haven't been analyzed yet, Aline tells you and fills the gap, so you know the answer covers everything.
  • You can open the raw data behind any answer and check the numbers yourself.
Aline AI signature detection
Aline now detects signatures when you upload a PDF, marks signed agreements as Signed and shows you where each signature is. Signature Detection is in Beta, and an admin can turn it on in your organization settings.
Why it matters
  • Migrating a contract archive no longer means opening every file to separate executed agreements from drafts.
  • Your repository and reports are accurate when they say "signed."
  • For digitally signed PDFs, Aline also tells you whether the document changed after signing.
Aline AI Skills: your best review, run the same way every time
Skills package your team's way of doing a task, like reviewing a vendor MSA or marking up an NDA, together with your templates and fallback language. Anyone can run a skill from the AI chat. Start with Aline's ready-made skills or ask the chat to build one for you.
Why it matters
  • A new hire reviews an NDA the way your general counsel would, on day one.
  • Business users get a first-pass review based on your positions, not generic ones.
  • When your positions change, you update the skill once and everyone who runs it gets the new version.
Fixes and enhancements
  • HR system integrations.
Connect HiBob, Gusto, Rippling, Sage HR or Workday and fill offer letters, NDAs and separation agreements with employee details automatically.
  • Spell check for contracts.
Catches typos as you draft without flagging standard legal phrasing.
  • International date formats.
Choose from 21 formats, including day-first styles for UK and global teams.
  • Merge and split table cells
in the editor, just like in Word.
  • Internal workflow files.
Keep working files hidden from counterparties.
  • Workflow editors can complete a stalled task even when they aren't assigned to it.
  • AI-set status, type and parties show up in the Documents grid right away, and number columns in AI reports sort by value.
  • Faster parties and contract type pickers.
  • Word documents with a table of contents now import in full, and older .doc files open in the viewer.
  • Aline remembers your Editing, Suggesting or Commenting mode when you switch tabs.
  • HubSpot is available again in Aline AI's connected apps, and Slack's
    /launch-template
lists templates shared with your organization.
  • Many smaller fixes to signing, role assignment, reminders and the editor.
